Violinist

Born in 2001 in Vänersborg, Sweden, Ida Wadenbrandt grew up in a musical family, developing a diverse and expressive style. She began playing the violin at the age of 7 and has since had an impressive musical journey. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Ingesund School of Music, studying under Professor Magnus Ericsson, and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree.

Ida has performed with orchestras such as the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra and Orquestra POP Portuguesa, and has also appeared as a soloist with ensembles like the Sweden Symphony Orchestra, where she serves as concertmaster, Borås Symphony Orchestra, Ingesund Symphony Orchestra, and Camerata MHI. Her musicianship, characterized by a passionate and warm tone, has captivated audiences worldwide.

In addition, she has had the honor of performing for the Swedish royal couple, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. Her collaborations span both classical and crossover genres, working with artists like Robert Wells, Loreen, Carola, and Alexander Rybak. She has performed at prestigious venues, including the Kremlin Palace, Berwaldhallen, Gothenburg Concert Hall, Helsingborg Concert Hall, Moscow International House of Music, and Ullevi Stadium, and was concertmaster and soloist for Robert WellsRhapsody in Rock New Year´s tour in China 2024–2025.

Ida has received multiple scholarships, including from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, the Vänersborg Cultural Scholarship (2021), and the Cathja Mörner Scholarship (2023) and has participated in festivals and masterclasses with violinists such as Malin Broman, Alf Richard Kraggerud, Christian Svarfvar, Peter Herresthal and Frederik Øland (Danish String Quartet) among other internationally acclaimed violinists and educators. With a diverse background as a soloist, chamber musician, studio artist, and orchestra musician, she seamlessly blends classical and popular music, gaining recognition as a unique and dynamic artist in the global music scene.
